Visual Language ExampleSCA Quality Initiatives uses a technique called “Visual Language” to create compact and efficient process documentation for your business and manufacturing systems. The format is easy to understand and follow, and easy to audit. These documents not only capture the process steps, exceptions, and preconditions better than a text (Word) document, they are easier to maintain. And, most importantly, they continue to provide value – for training and for everyday operations – after the ISO auditor has gone and you’ve gotten your certification. And you can keep them up to date with your latest process changes easily, so your re-certifications go just as smoothly.

This Visual Language approach is used both for documenting individual processes such as Materials Management (example above) or Supplier Validation, and for documenting the high-level business process overview (example below).
